These are the consequences of not electing Hillary Clinton
All of what is upon us now is the logical result of not electing Hillary Clinton. I can hear people going out of their minds, swearing to various gods that, that isn’t true, or we would be worse off. Apart from that being propaganda (I think we most certainly would be better off), it was a weird fork in the road, and one where we failed to make the right decision. What we have done in this country is not done with us.
For whatever reasons ranging from if-I-can’t-have-Bernie protest votes, to fear of a Presidential Vagina, Democrats, Moderates, normal people basically, have failed to prevent a coup by Extremist Republicans, or XGOP, allowing pretty much the absolute worst people imaginable to take power. These people are replacing our government with stooges of industry, and the Fourth House of Government, K-Street, is now the dominant force. You will now be governed by the Corporate Class and your voice will be largely diminished.
Whatever was important on the so-called Leftist, Democratic, or even Centrist agendas, well kiss it goodbye. From rights to modern medicine for abortion, to protections for the environment, all of it is going to go. Your right to clean drinking water, clean air: gone. Your rights to not be abused by large corporations for whatever reason: gone. These rights are inconvenient to industry. Equal rights for women, people who are not privileged or white, all of the progress we have made since the 50’s is going to be scuttled.
Extreme? You bet. This is what is on the cutting block and they have said as much. More atrocities are going to take center stage while the work of thousands of people over the past two or three generations is going to be gutted. There is absolutely no bipartisanship involved.
The real problem, is you don’t believe me. “This cannot possibly be a coup! What a silly exaggeration!” Really?
What actually is one supposed to look like? How would we all act if it were the case? This is precisely the problem: we don’t believe it soon enough. We see it. The takeover of our system of self-government is happening right in front of us. Freedom, Liberty, and Justice are being systematically removed from America. But we still can’t believe it.
Denial is powerful thing.
And because what is happening to us is so outrageous, so shameless, naked in its contempt for Democracy, we are behaving exactly as the XGOP predicted we would. We are stooges, as far as they are concerned, playing a very predictable part.
I once saw this show on cops and detectives in middle schools. They were introducing themselves and talking about law enforcement to the kids. One boy asked, as a homicide detective, if he saw a lot of dead people. Criminals. “What expression did they have on their faces?”
The detective replied, “Astonishment”. They never saw it coming.
That is going to be our face in 5 years. The face of everyone who is NOT a Nazi, racist, white American male misogynist (the most common type), the faces of all the people who care about others, who want to make the world a better place for everyone, who believe in Justice, the values of the Enlightenment, shining bright when the Constitution was being written; all of us will have the faces of the astonished, the blind.
And if things continue without resistance, we will have most assuredly the faces of the dead, for those in power, just like ISIS or the Taliban, are itching to use nuclear weapons. And once started it cannot be stopped. It is even referred to again and again as, the “nuclear option”; the very thing that should never be an option. Reagan’s MAD (mutually assured destruction) does not have a deterrent effect on extremist Apocalyptic Christians (those who believe and desire the wrath of “end times”), any more than their Islamic counterparts. These so-called Christians, doppelgängers of radical Islam, are part of the base of the XGOP, and will stop at nothing to get what they want. Sound familiar? Crazy?
So when people said and perhaps still say, “anything but Hillary. Lock her up!”, they have absolutely signed away what was once truly great: America.
The end does not justify the means. I do not trust President Donald Duck, nor the sycophant XGOP. I do not believe anything “good” is going come out of something so rotten, indeed so “deplorable”. You know, sometimes the stakes are very high. And when, like now, we have failed to discredit and hygenically remove failed ideologies from our system, we should not be surprised to see them resurface with a carnivorous force.
So when you turn on the TV and see for yourself, say the sentence that is being said all around the world as they watch: America is committing Ethnic Cleansing.
